Poison Spring

Poison Spring is a 90-minute suspense film that explores the adventures of scientific investigation amidst a hypothetical war between the agribusiness industry and radical ecologists defending their territory.

Set in a fictional location in the Colombian mountains, this story unfolds after the demobilization of the main insurgent groups that sustained the country’s war for over 50 years, namely, guerrillas and paramilitaries. It leaves the door open to this new economic and environmental conflict, focusing on land usurpation, natural resource exploitation, and raising questions about the neutrality science should maintain in the face of injustice.

With a marked influence of conspiracy suspense, a strong scientific and environmental interest, intertwined with a love reunion throughout the narrative arc, an ambiance, staging, and musicalization that flirt with the Western genre, and tense action scenes, this tale of perseverance, love, and danger aims to resonate with both national and international audiences, made possible through your participation.

To date, Poison Spring has participated in the Script Lab and the Producers’ Salon of the Cali International Film Festival.
