Roldanillo
TESMA was implemented in the municipality of Roldanillo, Valle del Cauca, on two consecutive occasions during the years 2013 and 2014. Roldanillo is a town full of art and culture, the result of over 30 years of action by the Rayo Museum, one of those landmarks nestled among the mountains of northern Valle that completely transformed the cultural dynamics of a town initially affected by bipartisan violence and later by drug trafficking. However, the cultural and educational legacy that the Museum brought to the region has produced different generations of artists and enthusiasts.
Therefore, the first application of TESMA became a renewing experience filled with learning. It involved illustrators, photographers, and a dozen young people eager to make films. It concluded with the short film «El Tizón Fósil de Fuego,» a script co-written by the workshop participants, and directed by Germán Bizarro.
The first TESMA Roldanillo had the collaboration of the Rayo Museum and the Department of Participation and Social Development of the Government of Valle del Cauca.
Here is this interesting short film, a product of the workshop.
The second implementation of TESMA was made possible thanks to the efforts of Luis Adiel Parra, a writer from Roldanillo and a teacher at INTEP (Technical and Vocational Education Institute of Roldanillo), who managed to promote the filming of a second short film. This film was written by the Cuban filmmaker Jorge Molina and once again directed by Germán Bizarro. It was titled «@256».
